Thing #27: Make my own ice-cream

2-P1000448

I did it!  At the weekend, I made the Barrack Obama of ice-creams.  I’d like to thank my Sister, Fiona for her unwavering support and encouragement and God for not letting the custard curdle.

The whole tub has been consumed, exactly 24 hours after I started making it.  Of course.

Recipe here.

€5 has been donated to UNICEF Ireland for the completion of this ‘thing’.  Click here if you too would like to donate online.

Hi Thelma, YUM!!! This looks so delicious and I can't think of a better dessert or afternoon snack on a warm summer day. I understand why it was consumed so quickly! Enjoy your day! xxleslie

Hahaha, love that it's called the "Barack Obama" of all ice creams. Cute blog! :)

Your nail polish is fab! Sadly I am lactose intolerant and have stayed away from ice cream for years (like 20). But this looks great and the NAME is even better! :)

Erin, that is SO sad.

Oh and my nail polish is Miami by WIP, but I was actually disappointed it needs about 3 layers for full nail coverage.
