It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day stuff. In the middle of all the little things today (‘Did I pay that bill?’, ‘Can I wear socks with this?’, ‘Is there milk in the fridge’, ‘I must remember to send that email’...), I paused and read this:

(Sort of) related: Last weekend, we watched one of my all-time favourite movies, Chocolat. The main character, Vianne (played by Juliette Binoche) wears red shoes throughout. When her daughter, Anouk, is struggling to fit in and make friends in a very conservative French village, she demands Why can’t you wear black shoes like the other mothers? I love that!

It’s officially the weekend (here in the UAE), and I’m celebrating with friends and cocktails.
This is my drink. Officially, it’s called a Moscow Mule – but I claim it as my own because of a few minor adjustments.

I’m usually pretty thrifty when shopping for clothes, but I’m ready to pay any extortionate cost you can dream up when it comes to finding a good bikini. It’s a complete outfit. Plus, it covers so little that what is there has got to be perfect. You can’t put a price on that.
