It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day stuff. In the middle of all the little things today (‘Did I pay that bill?’, ‘Can I wear socks with this?’, ‘Is there milk in the fridge’, ‘I must remember to send that email’...), I paused and read this:

I should just entitle these posts Best of Sincerely Jules…the obsession continues…

…but then I wouldn’t be able to tell you about awesome new blog finds like We Wore What (Thank you Marta for the tip!)…

…or old favourites like Fashion Toast! And I reeeeally wanted to tell you about this handkerchief skirt Rumi is wearing by Balmain and how my life would be more complete if this skirt were in it.

So do redheads wearing red. Red shoes, red nails, red lips. Do it- if you’re a redhead, wear red. It works.
(Sort of) related: Last weekend, we watched one of my all-time favourite movies, Chocolat. The main character, Vianne (played by Juliette Binoche) wears red shoes throughout. When her daughter, Anouk, is struggling to fit in and make friends in a very conservative French village, she demands Why can’t you wear black shoes like the other mothers? I love that!

Sexy backs and midriffs for the last little bit of Summer.
No handsome men this time I’m afraid- sorry to disappoint- but I’ll do a post all about handsome men soon to make up for it (that’s my own form of teaser-advertising).

Reading Material
I’m so glad to be finished with 50 Shades of Grey. Honestly, the worst-written book I have ever read! You did warn me!
I should have just listened to a recording of it, Gilbert Gottfried style:
I’m still laughing at this!

Happy Hour
It’s officially the weekend (here in the UAE), and I’m celebrating with friends and cocktails.
This is my drink. Officially, it’s called a Moscow Mule – but I claim it as my own because of a few minor adjustments.
Also, I should mention that I have never served this to someone who didn’t love it. Swearsies!
What you’ll need:
Absolut Vodka
Fresh lime wedge
Ginger beer (I use Bundaberg Australian ginger beer)
Here’s How:
- Half-fill a large cocktail tumbler with ice
- Squeeze over the wedge of lime and drop it into the glass
- Add 3-4 tablespoons of vodka, depending on your mood
- Top up with ginger beer, give it a quick stir and serve with a straw
- Repeat above steps as required

Sun Sea Sand
Especially sand. Lots and lots and lots of sand. (Today!) I’m heading back to the desert for another year of fun. I’ll be needing some beachwear.
I’m usually pretty thrifty when shopping for clothes, but I’m ready to pay any extortionate cost you can dream up when it comes to finding a good bikini. It’s a complete outfit. Plus, it covers so little that what is there has got to be perfect. You can’t put a price on that.
