Happy Valentine’s Day

Since I didn’t get around to posting my usual ‘Fun Pix’ on Friday, I decided to do a little Valentine’s themed post today to wish you, my faithful readers, a very happy Valentine’s day. I love you all. All three of you xx.

Power-hooping

Last week, Roisin and I welcomed a lovely new housemate, Kathrina. When we were helping to move Kathrina in, there was one item I was very curious about…. this:

Kathrina tells me that this thing is going to help me to burn calories, strengthen my core muscles, reduce back pain, slim and tone my waist and improve my posture. Its going to change my life!

As we discovered on Saturday night, its fun too.

Being as warm as toast;  having the cleanest car in town;  trying to twirl a baton;  pogo sticks;  romantic declarations written in the sand;  backless dresses;  the habit of checking for change in every coin return you pass;  munching marshmallows;  baby powder;  being barefoot on the grass;  hitting a tennis ball against the wall for practice;  chef’s whites;  people who hold their pint with both hands;  rearranging the furniture;  slice n’ bake cookie dough;  bubble wrap;  bringing the dog for a spin in the car;  The Muppets;  fresh herbs in the kitchen;  sitting outside and creating exotic life stories for the people who walk by.

Sleep Deprived

You might have noticed that I haven't been posting as regularly as usual. It is because I am just so so tired. All the time. I can't seem to shake it. I started a new job this year and with all the initial excitement of it, I think my usual spell of January blues is hitting me a couple of weeks later than everyone else. Well that, and sleep deprivation.

You might think this strange, but when I am feeling this way I find it oddly comforting to visualise places I would love to curl up and take a nap. It also means that when nap-time finally comes, you appreciate it all the more.
