If you are a regular little-t reader, you will know about a monthly post I do on Things to be Happy About. If you haven’t been reading along, that’s okay, you can catch up on them all here… or not- whatever.
Anyway, I’m not doing one this month because I feel like having a bit of a rant instead. That’s okay too. Sometimes it makes you feel good to get this stuff off your chest.
So this month, here are some things that I am NOT very happy about:
Bad grammar; overfamiliarity of strangers; clampers; Irish “celebrities” such as Daithi O’Shea or Hector O’Heochagain; people who walk slowly in front of you in the street; cats; no parking signs; poor dental hygiene; misspelling in public places; people driving below the speed limit; invasion of personal space; people using the word specific when they have any kind of difficulty pronouncing it; fidgeting; weird toes; people who talk about their children non-stop; littering; whingey children; people who talk with their mouth full; know-it-alls; when strangers use you to discipline their children (the lady will get mad…); arrogant gardaí; people who use buggies as weapons; the acting in Fair City; the lack of scientific breakthroughs on inexpensive permanent hair removal solutions; people who describe themselves as models without any commercial evidence; awkward chit-chat in lifts; TV licence inspectors.
hehe, sometimes you just gotta get it all out there. :) I agree especially on stranger who use you to discipline their children.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! After reading this list, I know what you need. Go to projectplaylist.org and look up "I Hate Everyone." I listen to this song when I come across particularly hateful people at work, and it always puts a smile on my face.
ReplyDeletePS. I abhor slow walkers in front of me! In a park, strolling is perfectly acceptable, but not at 7:58 am when you need to be in the office at 8 sharp!
Great list-too right!I would like to contribute: the VHI ad where the woman is worried about her 'tiny babies'. Cant cope.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh my god, didn't that feel good? I feel like you did it for me too. I have to say, probably 75% of the stuff you listed is my pet peeve too. Right on.
ReplyDeletePS- I'm hosting a jewelry GIVEAWAY today. Please come by and have a peek! xx

Bad grammer & misspellings? I second that sister!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Darling! xo
Good to purge yourself of all that. Whingers and know-it-alls - phooey!
ReplyDeleteI have quite a lot of the same pet peeves...like people walking slow in front of me, and cats.
ReplyDeleteI am irritated just thinking about all my pet peeves! haha
Great post!I agree especially about people who talk with their mouth full.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day honey,

Totally get what you mean about the awkward chit-chat in lifts! I have such a hard time with them too..haha
ReplyDeleteHave a great Tuesday, sweetie
That reminds me to check if our tv license is current!
ReplyDeleteUgh I hate people that use poor grammar (umm so many here) and chatty eaters! Glad that colorful pictures gave you a good start to your week!

ReplyDeleteHa great list :) it's healthy to let it out once in a while :)
ReplyDeleteLove, Vanilla
have a wonderful day :D
ReplyDeleteFirst, you spelled "grammar" incorrectly, so it kind of renders your point moot.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I agree that poor grammar is annoying.
I love cats, so screw you. (I kid.)
Poor dental hygiene makes me vomit.
Slow drivers make me violent.
Slow walkers usually get run over.
I could go on.

Haha I love this. My favorite is the "lack of scientific breakthroughs on inexpensive permanent hair removal solutions." Its always a good break to just rant. Feel free to do it anytime. :)

I really hate slow walkers, too. Why can't they realize that you're faster and just want to go around?
ReplyDeleteI find it appropriate that cats are a "pet" peeve ;)
ReplyDeleteYou'd hate my Mother. She walks slow and is a poor driver.
